Hi John and Janice,
Thanks for todays run. A good find on some of those roads.
Hope Janice is feeling better, and thanks for still taking us all out for the day despite still not feeling too well yourself. I think it’s fair to say we all really appreciated it.
Rich
Hi Karen
We had a fatastic day in the peaks ,about 8 of us decided to eat in one of the local pubs had a great sunday lunch ,before we knew it it was after 4pm.
The run was brilliant , I got stopped in convoy and was asked which club we were, the chap was just crossing the road and waved me down ,he said his MX5 was in his garage waiting to join us ,hopeflly convinced him join the club!!.

Pleased to hear you all had a great time. We were thing of you out here in Wells Next the Sea.
Brilliant day out, great weather and organisation, many thanks John and Jan and everyone else who helped. We chatted a while then had fish and chips and a walk up to the castle to shake them down, see you all soon.
We had a great time on our first run to Castleton, loved the drive, great people and Fish and Chips really good. We hope Jan and John are feeling better they organised a lovely day out, such a shame that Jan missed it. Looking forward to the next run

Hi John and Janice. We hope you will both be feeling better soon.
It was an exellent drive and the conditions couldn’t have been better. Reg said he hadn’t been along some of the roads you found.
Thanks for a most enjoyable outing.
Reg and Lynn
Thanks John and Janice for a great run,and a nice day out, really enjoyed the fish and chips.
Hope your better soon Janice.
John
Hi everyone,
Thanks so much for all your lovely comments on the Castleton run yesterday and your concern for Janice’s well being.
Eddie’s picture of Crowdecote bridge just before the Longnor coffee stop and RichM’s photos of the impressive snowdrifts on the road to Earl Sterndale look great on the forum, it would be good to see Barry & Sharon’s (plus anyone else’s) pics on there also. I think that with the sunshine and the snow Derbyshire did it’s self proud yesterday!!!
I’m really pleased the hook up at Grangemill with first timers Martin & Anne went according to plan, I didn’t see you there and thought we’d missed you.
Jan is a lot better today, and I’m sure we’ll be OK for Clive’s Wednesday slot car night, so hope to see you all there.
Thanks for everyone who turned out for this event ( 25 cars I’m told) and that you enjoyed it, you made it a day to remember.
John & Janice.
Great day out, really enjoyed it have shot some video but don’t know how to get it of my camcoder yet!
PS Where do i send the car cleaning bill to !!!
Nigel,
We all clean each other’s car and charge each other £1.00!!
Adding my thanks to all the rest for another excellent run, glad to hear your both feeling a little better, see you Wednesday.
Cheers, Nige
Sounds as though the second half of the drive went as well as the first, sorry we missed it! We came home via the main Buxton / Ashbourne Rd, the snow drifts along there were awesome too. It was great to see so many members, old and new, out enjoying themselves and their cars. Great “not convoy” driving too!
please email me the best of your photos, I’d like to include some in the next newsletter. Hoping to see Janice and John at Slot Car meet tonight to thank them personally on behalf of the club for all their efforts.
Karen
