The trip will commence at Fairways Garden Centre, Collycroft Hill, Ashbourne, Derbyshire, DE6 2GN, meeting at 10:00am, and leaving at approximately 10:30 am.
We will travel to Buxton, and then onto Macclesfield via the Cat and Fiddle (A537).
The Entry price for both the Observatory and First Light Pavilion is as follows
Car Park £4:00
Observatory and Planetarium £17.00 each, (£15.00 each for concessions).
The visitor centre has a small café on site selling light refreshments, and there is a picnic area available or if you wish to bring your own, (weather permitting).
The Visitor Centre has limited us to a maximum of 15 cars to form a manageable group.
Please indicate on the Forum within the next two weeks if you would be interested in this trip so that I can inform them of the size of our group.
Thank you
David Mortiboys, Joint Area Co ordinator, on behalf of Christine and Hedley.
I’m not sure if we can make it on Sunday - but is there space still available?
If so, could we arrange to meet up near Bakewell / Buxton?
Looking at the web site, there is an annual ticket for £10 (over 65’s) - Would it be better to buy this, or does this not give you the same access as the £17 ticket on the day?
