Driving toward the sun, with the top down, I often find the sun’s glare just above the windscreen surround, very distracting. I think there is gap in the market for a light weight hinged sunscreen to fit above the windscreen frame, to shade this area. Does anyone share this problem - or know of an aftermarket solution?
I had the same problem but simply solved it by buying the Owners Club Peak Cap.
The peak of the cap covers the area above the windscreen and keeps the sun out of your eyes.
ditto
+1 for a cap
I always wear a wide brimmed hat, I need protection from the sun.
CAP here as well
Cranial Automotive Protection device for me too.

Yep, baseball cap, nice cheap option.
That’s all five Dragons out then!
I share the problem of sun glare above the windscreen, I think your idea is very sound. The baseball cap works
if one wants to copy William Hague, no, just thought he wore his back to front. I currently use a Callaway golf visor, this
stops the glare but still gets the wind in my hair, yes, I’ve still got mine, well, most of it!!!
IF AN AFTER MARKET ITEM WAS AVAILABLE I WOULD DEFINITELY BUY FOR BOTH CARS.

Nice one
A good pair of Ray-Bans
I still prefer the Hague-ish cap. Never wear shades
Have lots of white hair blowing everywhere with (so I’m always being reminded by the granddaughters) a THINNING not bald patch
Hmm, I have enough hair that sunscreen rubbed into on the thin/bald patch is messy, but not enough hair to prevent sunburn on the thin/bald patch, so the MOC cap and mirror shades allow me to ‘look cool’ and remain un-burnt.
If you don’t like the hat or ray ban approach, you already have a shade above the widescreen built in. Most people call it the hood, or roof. I only use mine in emergencies, but it does block the light.
