Supermarket "Antics"

Personally I think there’s an argument for limiting shops trading hours, especially over extended bank holiday periods.
For one it may expand peoples horizons beyond shopping centres and spending money (often credit) they haven’t really got.
The everything available 24/7 has a lot of downsides imo.

They can open when they like as far as I am concerned. I don’t buy the state paternalism argument, saving people from themselves , I had enough of that nonsense when I was a kid - absurd Sunday trading laws ,local watch committees deciding what film I could see , Lord Chamberlain loftily deciding which plays might corrupt public morals and almost zero choice in education or health. Ghastly !

I bet the staff are please about that, oh the stories I’ve heard …
