I went to buy some today to top up the Mazda 3 and the dealer had none. Also out of stock at the usual online sellers. The parts guy said Mazda are in the process of changing supplier so, if you are low on oil, you might need to put in whatever else is permitted by the handbook (anything 0W20 to API SN or higher for SkyActiv-X, but SkyActiv-G engines can use 5W30 instead).
That is strange just looked here Engine Oil, Genuine Mazda 0W20, 5 Ltrs, MX5 Mk4 – MX5 Parts and it says ‘plenty in stock’. It could be lying though.
Not really top-up quantity, though! I see they have 1 litre but the postage cost makes it stupidly expensive. Apparently the Oxford dealer has a couple of bottles left.
