Suspension Alignment in South

  1. My model of MX-5 is: __2013 NC 3.75
  2. I’m based near: __Reading
  3. I’m looking for technical help or recommendations on: __Suspension alignment in south

Yep same old chestnut. Was wondering if anyone has recommendations of Companies from Southampton to oxford Slough to Swindon  Car getting new everything on Monday/Tuesday and I’m quite sure an alignment check change will work wonders  Have had a dig through the posts on search but haven’t been entirely successful.

Horsham developments shouldn’t be too far from you, it’s in Chieveley. He’s been a nissan specialist for many years doing tuning, race prep etc. I’m sure an mx5 wouldn’t pose them too big a challenge.

Thanks  will do a dig around for the recommended parameters and give them a call…

Haven’t used them myself but The Alignment Centre, Milbrook, Southampton gets good

reports from the Solent group who have arranged group bookings there in the past.

They seem knowledgeable re MX5 s.

Thanks, will look them up, always good to hear of other owners having good stories…

Wheels in motion, Chesham.

Once had a chat with a random admirer of my NBFL who mentioned them.

Re Wheels in Motion, the internet says that the key person with the excellent reputation was Tony Bones, who passed away a couple of years ago.

If you go to the Wheels in Motion website, this pops up: “Please note that Wheels in Motion is no longer trading and is not associated in anyway with Protyre who are now based at the centre in Chesham. The WIM forum is still currently active.”

The business on that site is now part of Protyre, and I haven’t seen the same level of recommendation dated after the takeover, sadly.

Sorry to hear that. Must admit it’s been a while since I was last there. Transformed the handling on my car at the time.

Seconded for
The Alignment Centre, Milbrook, Southampton.
Excellent service and very knowledgeable.

I’ve used Japex in kings Langley near Watford for lots of things (but never alignment) but I have recently seen them recommended for just that. (They are great guys)
Worth a call maybe?

WIM Chesham, now named Blackboots ,still has the same advanced equipment and the guys there know how to use it properly. I take a trip to them every couple of years as my car is lowered and ,from experience ,most places can’t get the measurements right if lowered.

Re WIM Chesham - that’s great to know! Thanks for the up to date info.

[edit] Just looked at Google reviews. Quite a mixed bag unfortunately. Some very happy customers, some rather less so.

I’m very tempted to try Adams & Page in High Wycombe. I was there recently for some diagnostics and an ADAS check on my Audi (which they did for nothing). I was very impressed with their attitude and willingness to explain what they were doing and why.

They also seem to have a long history in supporting motor racing which bodes well.

Great opportunity to ask for some sound advice!
I’m getting a set of Meister R zeta CRD coilovers fitted in the next few weeks to my 2012 NC 3.5 so after a bed period I’m looking for a decent, ‘fast road’ alignment set up. There’s a vast amount of knowledge on this forum can anyone please tell me what settings I should be passing on to the experts to set?

Visited Adams & Page in High Wycombe this morning to deal with a motorway speed vibration. One wheel had lost a balancing weight, which they checked and rebalanced for nothing, even though they didn’t fit the original. An investment in a customer relationship which means they’ll be where I go first for tyres & alignments.

No affiliation, just delighted with their approach.

Gents, thanks for your input, need to make a few calls but the zeta’s are on, running at out of the box settings, needs shocks softening a little and although speed bumps are ok I may lift it a little
