I’ve installed new meisterr sportive coilovers on my mk1 and noticed I now have a fairly loud creaking noise going over bumps.
I made sure to reinstall the gaskets that sit on top of the coilovers.
You need to do the final torquing up of bolts with the weight of the car on the wheels on the ground or ramps. This could possibly cause the creaking if you didn’t follow the above procedure and the bushes aren’t settled in position.
