I have a T28 turbo from a rb26det 14411-05u22. It has started smoking on initial start up and under boost. My friend thinks it could be because i need a oil restrictor to stop the pressure from pushed through the seal. I have had a look on the google but i cant find any information on what i need. Can anyone with a similar set up help me out.

I run a T25 but I’ve never heard of the oil restricter you refer to and I’ve looked at quite a few turbo installs.
I would suggest giving Turbo Dynamics a call for advice as smoke sounds like wear to me. I don’t have their details but you can find them on the Google! They did a nice recon on my turbo.
