Tatton Park August 2009 - Sat 22nd to Sun 23rd

Is the MX-5 Owners Club going to be present at the next Tatton Park Show in August this year, and what sort of presentation if any are you planning,or is it just going to be a get together and a chin wag, or could it be a show type of thing with owners showing there cars, prizes from some of the suppliers etc like oils, polishes, & parts, how about a one years free subscription to STHP mag to one lucky winner of ?? etc

hopefully the chesire and north wales group will be there.

If you want to show and shine thats up to you

but some come just for the social side of things + MX5 NUTZ will have a seperate stand as well.

No prizes or judging of cars cos we dont do that.

The guy who organises and runs this event at Tatton Park used to work with me until he was made redunadant three months ago, his last words to me on his way out was I will send you a pass and whata guy he is true to his word one pass for Saturday and Sunday 22/23  fell on the door mat this morning, I dont know were I will be in relation to MX5-NUTZ but will be there out to enjoy my self.[:D]

I maybe interested to going if I knew what kind of a show is it and do we just trun up and show our car, or do we have to book a space?

Cheers

sucram, its just a car show, you usually have to be a member of a club who have a stand to show your car, its just I knew the guy who organises the show, there is car jumble etc and a chance to look at the other cars as well.It usually £4 per person to get into Tatton Park Then £6 to get into the show its self.I am just going with my son I am just leaving my car on the slot I have been given and doing a walk about my car is clean and a good shine, but its not pristine show condition to win awards.

Cheshire + North wales will be representing the Oc on stand B5

Yes got onto B5 stand plenty of well turned out 5 as you would expect the weather was kind to us very sunny, lot’s of good cars even the jag xk220 some motor that I must apologies I did not introduce my self to every one, maybe next year.Lots of very nice cars on show all makes the ac cobra’s caught my eye although some were replica’s one guy took four years to build his car.It was good to see a good turn out to support the MX5 local clubs.well done every one.

First can I say thanks to all who helped put the gazebo up and down.
Peter + Sonia were busy on the trade stand so had asked if could "sort"
the Club stand.
I felt we had a good spot right on the corner and lots of passers by
that was near to the important ammenties (loos ,food, beer)

Saturday was a little busy with 21 cars on a 20 car plot
But Sunday was a surprise when only 13 cars could make it…but that made for a relaxed and spacious stand and we pulled a great number of visitors
club membership forms went out to a few passers and Quite a few questions were answered by a number of people on the stand

Well done to Phil who picked up best MX5 on Saturday with his original Mk2
And To John whos love and hard work lavished on his little Red Mk1 stole the prize On Sunday.

Thanks To all who turned up for your company…Its what makes these shows so much FUN…No snobery and everyones car is equal (even those whoose lights dont pop-up!!!)
