Textured paint on sills

Hi All,

I have just made a small repair to my rear sill that will hopefully hold off the rust until I can save up for a proper sill replacement :)In the meantime, I am having trouble blending in the repaired section with the existing paint job.

The existing paint is quite textured, with lots of dimples, but I can’t recreate the same effect using rattle cans.

I have used the hammerite stone chip paint, but it does not provide the same texture.

Does anyone have any suggestions of products or techniques that I could use to achieve what I want?

Thanks as always,

Steve

I used Tetrosyl Stone Chip paint when I needed to do mine. It comes in a rattle can and gave a similar finish to the original with a light coat.

Thanks!

You mean this one? Just want to be sure!

Looks like the same stuff - Code SCS500. I only paid £4.99 though at my local A1 motor store
