The 24 Le Mans - where are they?

A slightly self serving post, I’m afraid… but I’m wondering how many of the ‘ 91 Le Mans are accounted for by active members.

Partly for curiosity’s sake, partly because it would be cool to know and partly because I’m hoping for a chat with the owner of the other black one - it’s hard to piece together what is / isn’t original and it’d be great to have another reference point as I make decisions about the restoration.

As I understand it, the two black ones were both at the same dealer in Mayfair and got the same treatment, so were presumably pretty similar at point of sale ? :man_shrugging:t2:

Doug Passell had the other black one, not sure how much use that would be as a reference as AFAIK his did not have the body kit.
I have worked on quite a few of lemans and worked at Mazda when mk1 mx5’s were around so have reasonable knowledge and dealer manuals/spec lists so any questions welcome.
Have you thought about future values in regards to the painting conundrum :thinking:

Thank you. Interesting that the other black one had no body kit - I assumed they’d be similar. I’m especially curious to know how much black was painted in the engine bay.

As for value…. who knows what’s best ?!? :grimacing:. Just trying to stay faithful to the car and it’s history and do it justice. There will be some deviation from how it was (for example it’ll get a livery) but I’ll try not to do anything that can’t be undone.

Thankfully, it’s in good hands.
