That’s probably because you were born “too late”. You had to “be there” in the mid '50’s to realise what a difference he and other early R&R artists had on a staid music scene.
Ha, you’re probably right! I don’t know what it is - have a huge love of music which predates me… but he just never ‘clicked’ for me for some reason. But undoubtedly hugely influential.
