Have a look at this if no one comes up with a genuine Mazda fitment

Having just found this myself I intend to go and look see in my local Maplins as I dont have a clock in mine so it would be useful for that as well[:)] I think the dimensions quoted are incorrect though they say the display is 90mm long but the overall is 320mm! I think they mean 120 looking at the pic.
If you feel a bit more DIY ish they also have a very cheap PCB module and optional probe ooh er[:|]
Yeah, I’m sure they mean 120mm. I bought an older version of that years ago for £3 or £4 but it has a small display which only shows one of the 3 readings at a time.
The downside is that you mainly just want to know if the temperature’s below zero, so you mainly use it in the winter, when it’s dark, and there’s no provision for keeping the backlight on all the time (wonder if it could be bodged to be externally powered). The old version had a feeble backlight using a tiny conventional bulb. I trust this new one is better.
I tried a similar thing in my Fiesta, but it was mains powered and the backlight was on all the time - the glare from the light on the windscreen made it un-useable!
If you have the cubby hole at the radio (single din), then you could put it in there, and it would probably be fine, otherwise, you might be struggling (it is fairly large afterall), since it does need to be away from glass.
