Thought you might be interested in the modifications I have made to my Mk1 - Engine swap.

I bought my Mk1 Sunburst yellow Eunos about 6 years ago, I had always wanted a yellow one since 1994 when they came out in the UK as the california edition. It was fun and i took it to Le Mans and used it for high days and holidays. I decided then that it needed a few tweaks.

So I bought a Supercharger from P5 and fitted it along with AGX shocks, FM springs, FM Anti roll bars, FM rear top mounts, White faced dials (yes, I know…)

I took it to Le Mans again, this time in tandem with a Mate in a Mk1 MR2 and even with the Supercharger I could not get away in a straight line (it was an M45 supercharger - M62’s were just coming out.)

So I decided I needed more power and to do something  unusual if not unique.

I decided to fit a Ford Mustang V8 - as you do.

This will be the tale of how it went.

More tomorrow!

Great job, looks like it was always meant to be in thereWink

Are you taking commisions now you have had the practice? Out of interest how did your insurance take to having another 4 cylinders on board?

Dr. EunosGeek

No, no commisions, just did it for fun. Insurance was tricky and Adrian Flux were the only ones I could find to touch it (I checked before ripping out the original lump) £430 fully comp with breakdown isn’t too bad.

They didn’t care much that it was a V8, they didn’t like 5 litres. Daft though, cos’ it only makes about 240HP and you can get that easily with a big turbo.

Thansk for the comments I like it too!

My local garage supercharges that unit to 400bhp/400lb/ft Devil they recently turned out a Mustang with 900bhp!

Did you use the monster miata kit?
