Thread size battery terminal clamp ND

Anyone know what size the thread is on the battery terminal clamps, thought it was M6 - right diameter but not an M6 thread. Could it be M6 fine?

M6 x 1.0 as far as I know. The bolt might have a burred end to stop the original nut coming off though.

I checked today and it seems that it does. If you crack if off then unscrew it with your fingers it stops at the end of the thread.
