My nd 1.5 is now 9 years old.bought last March with 19000 miles on the clock and well looked after.it now has 26000 miles on the clock and I think it is time for some money spending on it for the summer.
I’m definitely replacing the still on original tyres with new Yokohama advan sports 195/50r16 @£110 each, fitted. And probably a full geometry check/adjust at roddisons in Sheffield.
I’ve thought about suspension upgrade, either eibach arbs only.or no arbs and just fitting lowered springs onto standard shocks.or both. But then would it be better upgrading the shocks to bilsteins as well? Money allowing!
This is my first mx5 to be honest and I quite enjoy the ride as it is, but it is nine years old now and I can’t help thinking that any upgrades will add to the driving experience.
Many years ago I had a very early elise(1998 jan) which I ran for many years so I’m not exactly a novice about handling and feel.
I don’t do track days or throw the car about on the road but I do enjoy a spirited drive occasionally.
Any advice will be greatly appreciated.
