just bought an mx5 with a toad immobiliser, it looks very much like an ai606. i have never had a car with an immobilser before and this may sound like a dumb question but are there any issues regarding disconnecting the car battery (it needs a charge)? does anyone have a copy of the manual on cd they could attach and send via email?

You’re welcome. It was a lucky find. For obvious reasons, details concerning car security devices are not as prevalent on the internet as some would hope. So far I have had no luck in obtaining any documentation for the Sterling Excel (Toad Powerkey) immobiliser that I acquired with my recent Eunos purchase.
