Toasty Heater

I’ve noticed that I can start the car, and before I’m 100 yards up the street, the car is already blowing warm air.
In fact this morning, I reversed out of the garage, stopped to open spotify, and before I’d set off the heater was already aired.
I’ve never had a car where the heater was so fast and efficient.

With my experience of fiddling with small screens and ‘helpful’ web stuff, that could well take ten minutes, ample warm-up time for almost any car…

LIterally 30 seconds to a minute at the most

I’m about to embark on a resolution for the exact opposite.

Pretty sure my thermostat is stuck open and it takes ages to heat up. If it’s especially cold outside it really doesn’t warm up at all and stays well below the correct operating temperature on a motorway run.

Replaced my thermostat last year along with coolant and the difference was surprising. My mk3 Seems extremely quick to register temp rise, yes could be within a minute

This is what prompted me to post, and i didn’t want to hijack your thread.

Yes it’s remarkable, never known a car to heat up so quickly and to such a high temperature, when I drove the car 250 miles home after purchasing it on March 3rd I had wet shoes, had the heater blasting them but had to open the windows and turn down the heater as my feet got uncomfortably hot :fire: !

Sounds like my wife in winter, I crank the heat up and put the bum warmers on for her. A few minutes later she says turn it all down I’m baking and my feet are swelling up.
She loves to be cool. :+1:
