Meeting at Moorlands, Owler Bar, Sheffield S17 3BQ (A621 Totley to Owler Bar car park) at 9:30 onwards for a Full Breakfast @ £3.95 or just a cuppa leaving at 10:30 for a scenic run around Derbyshire, calling into the Knockerdown PH at 11:30 for a coffee, then (regretably ) passing the Barley Mow pub in Kirk Ireton, a pub in which time has stood still, it was one of the last premises in the country to accept decimalization, as the 87-year-old landlady, Mrs Lillian Ford did not hold with the new money.
Then finishing up just before 1pm at ARKWRIGHT’S CROMFORD MILLS for a photo shoot inside the mill yard along side the mill buildings then we will watch and possibly take part in the annual PANCAKE RACE
Skill, agility and above all fun, the Cromford Mills Pancake Race is open to all ages.
Bring your own frying pan and race a short distance whilst flipping your pancake.
Come along, take part and see if you can win a small prize.
Arkwright’s Café will be serving pancakes from 10am-4pm with a choice of sweet and savoury toppings.
