Touring cars BTCC Oulton Park info needed

Driving over to Oulton Park this Sunday from West Yorkshire, anyone any info ref parking, roads queue, time scale to get there before the events start at 10.30.

Done F1 at Silverstone and know this is manic but not sure how busy touring cars get, and don’t want to be there super early.

If you’re coming to Oulton Park for this weekend’s Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship event, here’s everything you need to know to help you make the most of the weekend.

Gate opening times
Public admission to the circuit is from 7.00am on Saturday and Sunday.

Directions
Oulton Park is situated next to Little Budworth and is best accessed from the A54 or the A49. For full directions and a map

Car Parking
Parking is free of charge for all public car parks. Please follow directional signage on arrival.

Camping
The campsite opens at midday on Friday 28 June and will close at midday on Monday 1 July. Access is via the East Gate entrance, where a member of staff will direct you to the relevant camping area. Our full camping leaflet can be viewed by
clicking here. Additional camping tickets can be purchased on the day priced at £30 per adult and £18 for teenagers between the ages of 13-15.


Tickets
If you have chosen to have tickets posted (not print-at-home) you will need to bring the originals to the circuit as copies and receipts are not accepted. All advance tickets have now been dispatched and were sent by either Recorded or Special Delivery, meaning a signature is required.

In the rare instance that your tickets have not arrived in time you will need to purchase them at the gate price and obtain a refund after the event by returning the gate ticket stubs and your original tickets to the main MSV office at Brands Hatch, Fawkham, Longfield, Kent, DA3 8NG.

Print-at-home tickets are emailed on the day of purchase. If you haven’t received yours, login to your MSV account to access them. Print all your e-documents and bring them to the venue. Your order confirmation email will not gain you admission to the venue - you must have your e-tickets printed.

Please have your tickets separated before arriving at the gate.

If you need to purchase any additional admission tickets, these are available on the gate for £16 for adults, £10 for teens (13-15) and £13 for Senior Citizens on Saturday and £35 for adults, £21 for teens and £27 for Senior Citizens on Sunday. Under-13s go free! 

Grandstand seating
Grandstand seating is available at Old Hall, Knickerbrook and Lodge corners for Saturday only. Tickets can be purchased at the Grandstands themselves for £5. Sunday is sold out.

Programmes
Official event programmes are on sale from the Avenue programme booth, Chequers and crossroads programme booth for £5. Each programme features in-depth articles on every series racing this weekend along with entry lists and information on the racing timetable.

Pit lane walkabout
There will be a free pit lane walkabout and autograph session at 10.30am on Sunday morning - please queue at the pit lane gate in the paddock by the race control building. This will be followed by a driver parade around the circuit at 11.30am.

TV Screens
Giant TV screens, showing all of the action on Sunday raceday, will be located at Cascades facing infield and opposite the grandstands at Old Hall and Lodge corners.

Off-track entertainment
The Oulton Park Funfair, located between Chequers Restaurant and the Fogarty Moss Centre near Cascades will be open throughout the weekend with a selection of thrilling rides for race fans of all ages.

Oulton Park’s adventure playground, located by the funfair, will be open throughout the weekend for children of all ages from toddler to 14. There are climbing frames, swings and more.

There will be a trade village located opposite Chequers Restaurant on Saturday and Sunday.

Live music will be provided on Saturday night in Chequers by local band Hustle. 

Cashpoint
There is a cashpoint on site, which is located inside Chequers Reception.

WiFi
Free wiFi can be accessed from the pit garages and spectator grandstands at Oulton Park, plus venue restaurants. To access the facility, simply select MSV-HOTSPOT-WIFI and enter your details.

Radio Oulton
Broadcasting circuit commentary all weekend on 87.7 FM, don’t miss out on anything by purchasing a radio from the shop in Chequers reception and the programme booths.

Please do not leave your bag or personal belongings unattended at any time.
