Had the most amazing track evening at Brands Indy Circuit on Tuesday. 

This was my son and my first track event in our red rocket and I now “get” the whole MX5 thing! I’m converted!

i really did not know they were this good - apologies to all the die-hard fans out there, I brought mine on a bit of a whim (or mid-life crisis as Mrs Toolman would say) and I’m truly bitten by the bug. 

Now to fix the clutch, flush the rad & block as it was getting a tiny bit warm (nothing terminal) and to a future of ongoing accessorising and fettling. 

Next time I’ll find out if any other OC members are going to share the war stories.

I must admit I can’t think of many better ways to spend an evening than being on track in my 5 trackday car, being on track is a real revelation as to what these cars are all about. 

No doubt you’re about to find new ways of spending money just make it that little bit more fun like braided lines, stickier tyres, tighter seats the list goes on but it’s all worth it. 

Like you I’ve found out just how good it is to being sharing it with one of your kids, as well.
