Through a friend of mine at Rolls-Royce in Derby, we have organised an evening track day event at Donington Park on Wednesday July 11th this year, for people to bring their classic cars along a try them out on the track. For our purposes “classic” cars are road-legal & non-modern designed cars, but cars primarily designed for the road (so no Radicals, Caterhams, Ariel Atoms etc.)
The objective is to get people to bring out their “pride and joy” road cars and have a go on a track and they have kindly said I can pass on the discount code.
There will be fully qualified instructors present should anyone want some tuition, along with experienced race drivers for guidance around the circuit.
Anyone, over 18, who attends the safety briefing can drive as long as they have a road licence, or be a passenger as long as they wear a helmet. A number of helmets will be available on the night for those who don’t have one.
As evening events are rare at Donington, we expect to get around 40 cars but that still leaves plenty of track space and time available.

The event itself is covered by track day insurance for the event and public liability, but damage to vehicles (however caused) is the owners risk.
Many classic car policies allow a limited amount of non-competitive track day use, subject to prior notice.
