I’m looking for technical help or recommendations on: TC
As the title states, my TC comes on when i start driving. My battery was disconnected for about a month while waiting for insurance to start but i did start and run it from time to time within that. But i also did some modification to steering wheel which i had to take it off for, but I installed it wrong and when driving straight it sits at a 10 degree angle counter clockwise which i am going to change but could this also cause it? I did try the turn ignition on, turn wheel both ways and turn off but it came back on, i think its to do with the wheel tho from what ive heard, looking for third opinions.
No, the traction control light comes on, the icon with the car skidding, DSC still works via button press on and off. I heard that it can throw a TC light coz the car detects its been driving straight with the wheel at an angle is that true?
Yes, this can cause an issue, I’m just a little confused that the DSC light isn’t coming on too though. I’d still get the steering wheel corrected as it wasn’t doing it before your messed with that was it?
Correct, when we picked the car up it was all fine, messed with the wheel and now after i get up to higher speeds it turns off TC, but DSC stays on. My only question is how it knows the wheel is off centered? I asked GPT and it explained but i still don’t get it, but it’s the only possible explanation as this cars in mint condition, gonna try centre the wheel and do the reset as i don’t wanna drive without TC constantly as i do rn lol
Thanks, any ways to get it aligned perfectly first time or just trial and error? From what i’ve read it’s trial and error, only reason i didn’t mark it when taking it off is coz i was told it only goes on one way, which was clearly not the case lol
