I’m tempted to test drive the new 2019 Club and GT with the manual. I have a '17 GT auto and miss the manual shifting that I had in my '08 and my S2000s. I know there were issues with the 2016-2017 manuals. Has Mazda gotten those fixed, along with the convertible top problem with the Club and Sport?
The ND2 models are equipped with a Dual Mass Flywheel (DMF) which reduces the torque spikes on the gearbox
From what I’ve read on internet, You only start having issues with early gearbox’s if you track your car and have heavily upgraded power output, Think if you kept your car standard and don’t track your car there shouldn’t be no issues with early gearbox.
