Travel in France - Crit Air sticker for older cars

Has anyone had a problem with the gendarmerie for not having a CritAir sticker on their over 30 year old car please ?

The FBHVC is in communication with its French counterpart, FFVE, but no result so far it seems. The FFVE does not believe any foreign classic vehicles have been fined so far but I would be interested in any member experiences please. Le Havre started requiring them from January 1 and that was where I was planning to go on the ferry!! Thanks Roger

You are welcome, good luck on your travels :+1:

This is the official line.

"Do I need a Crit’Air vignette?
All eligible vehicles need to display a Crit’Air vignette on their windscreen to be able to drive and park in restricted traffic zones, such as permanent low-emissions zones and emergency low-emissions zones.

Not all vehicles are eligible for the vignettes. Cars registered before January 1997 and motorbikes and scooters registered before June 2000 are ineligible, and cannot be driven at all where restrictions apply."
