I have a 2011 NC MX5. It has a canvas hood based on plastic inside. I have been using Fabsil Gold with great success. However, some green algae has appeared . Can I use Milton tablets ( how many?) in a bucket of water followed by washing off with baby lotion shampoo, and then letting dry/treating with Fabsil Gold.

Not sure about the tablets but I got a spray bottle of milton fluid from my local Tesco.
Worked perfectly with a soft toothbrush to shift the green algae.
Was around £2.50
