Tyre puncture repair kit and tools

The little strap that is supposed to secure the tool kit (Wheel nut wrench & jack handle) and tyre repair kit bag (compressor and gunge) in the ND is pretty ineffective. Mine just keep falling into the boot during any kind of spirited driving.

Very irritating :frowning:

Could I be strapping them in wrongly, or has anyone else experienced this and found a better way to secure the tools and repair kit?

The compressor manages to stay in place, but the brace and locking nut bolt always end up on  the boot floor. I just leave it there now.

I put mine in the cubby hole behind the passenger seat. How often are you going to  need it? This frees up a little more space in the boot!

Exactly the same for me.

A bit confused here, are some of you saying that your ND came with a ‘wheel nut wrench & jack handle’? My car came with none of these nor a jack.

Now it does have a longish bar to prise out the blanking plates for fitting the two tow hooks that were also supplied with mine. These are in a small plastic tool roll.

The question is have I been robbed or are others mistaken as to what exactly they have? Please have a look as I will find it hard to sleep tonight not knowing the answer.

I’ve got exactly the same as you Malc, and that together with the tyre repair kit is, as far as I know, standard issue for the ND.  See Owner’s Handbook 7-2.  Without a spare wheel no jack supplied, not just Mazda but other makes as well.
