U. S. Window in the back of my soft top

The zip on my soft top has broken and I can’t secure the plastic rear window, as I only intend to keep the car for another 12 months are there any hacks to replace the window without fitting a new hood.

You can buy the zipper, and if you have the Robs’ workshop manual follow the guide in it to replace it presuming it’s an original Mazda soft top:

or work out which zipper size you need to replace it with another purchased online (or maybe if you’re lucky from an old piece of clothing you no longer wear), measure the teeth when both sides are closed together in mm - e.g. 10mm is a size 10 zip.

You can also use buckles like you get from a rucksack and stitch them on the hood and window:
