Just curious, my 2005 Suzuki Grand Vitara [2.0L petrol Manual] is due for what we call Rego. This roughly equates to the UK Road Tax. This renewal will cost me about £400. This includes an element of compulsory third party insurance. This insurance is the minimum you can have to legally drive on the road. I take out extra full comp insurance.
I’m just curious as to how much the same vehicle would cost me in UK, I’ve seen figures as high as £1200 quoted. Quoted emissions are 208-220 (Band K)
Any one know the answer?
I have a 2004 petrol Suzuki Jimny.
Paid the road tax on it last week £205.
CO2 Emlssions 184g/km. Band J.
Paid fully comp insurance which renews in 7 days £189.64.
Probably give you some idea.

Your Suzuki would cost £305 per annum for road tax. Insurance would obviously be a separate payment here.
The most expensive band is £555 so no idea where £1200 came from.
