Hi there is a place in Knutsford / Mobberley that dose waxoil treatment

Hi Graham

I had my Mk3 Niseko rust proofed by a company called Chassis Clean, based on a farm in Cheshire. It’s address is Millington Hall Farm, Millington, Altrincham, Cheshire , WA14 3RN . At the time it was £410.00 which was in 2014 & I doubt it will have increased much if at all, they do  brilliant job & take around 3 days to complete . The rust treatment they use is Dinatrol which I think is definitely better than waxoil, give them a call on 01565 830547. Mine looks as good to day as the day it was done & I was delighted at the work done … & trust me I am very fussy , they are very professional & have years of experience. Hope this post helps & puts your mind at rest.

I believe that unfortunately chassis clean have now closed

Chassis Clean closed it’s operation about a year or two ago, did an excellent job on my 3.5 in 2013. Even then though most of the team were nearing a well earned retirement.

Since then I have only have to do light top up’s of wear areas, this year I went a bit further and topped up virtually all the underside bits ().

Still need to get my eunos na waxoilled or equivalent.

 

been told Paul sheard in congelton does it but not had the time to get it done

Just got myself a MK3, 07 year so now I’m also looking to get the underside treated and I’m in the Crewe &Nantwch area so is there anyone in south Cheshire north Staff’s that can do the job ?

Just had mine Waxoyled, all the wheel arch liners out, all under trays removed, all chassis rails injected etc etc, I watched quite a lot of the operation, and they took photos as they went along ( must get some copies) a proper job, used clear Waxoyl, smells a bit and some smoke on first drive,but now all OK. The cost? £250 all in, 2 year tops ups £100 - I suppose it helped being spotless underneath.

For information of North West Wales members. Having my 2017 ND RF full Dinitrol treated at www.garejarwyn.co.uk/en/ in Penygroes near Caernarfon next week. They are a Dinitrol authorised garage and before agreeing to do mine they consulted with Dinitrol to confirm the correct treatment to use as its a new vehicle. Will take a couple of days, with all plastics, liners etc dealt with. Quoted cost for mine is 250.00.

Carl Smith of CBS Autos in Nelson comes highly recommended, he is a club member and his garage specialise in MX-5’s ask anyone in the North West and they will tell you the same, he’s not local but it depends how much you value your 5 to have a thoroigh job done.
