Does anyone know how this clip affects fitting of the side skirt?

If it wasn’t for this one it looks like the whole thing should slide on from back to front.

I can’t remember how mine looked when I took it off, probably both of those shown looked more like the right hand one. Anyhow, yes the sill slides from rear to front on the lower clips, then you press fit those shown plus the other white clips (same as the door card clips) into place having placed each one in the brackets.

When I took it off, after taking out the screws at both ends, it slid off and only broke the clip I have circled. I would think it should slide back onto all clips in reverse. Just concerned about this one because the entry to it is off line of all the others. Notice that the higher part of the cutout is back in line with the other slot next to it. But how to get it there.
When you say slide back on to those clips, the white clips of which there are 10 per side, you don’t. It’s best if you remove those clips from the body of the car and place them (slide) them into the brackets on the sill. They are popper clips and are meant to clip (pop) back in the holes once the sill is slide in place on the bottom 5 larger clips.
When I removed my sill I had left 2 clips in the upper part of the body, they should but didn’t (along with others) come out attached to the plastic cover sill. Also note the two clips mentioned look like the are slightly offset.
You’ll probably have trouble removing them from the body of the car much like the door card clips, they break for fun. Vehicle clips UK have supplies or Halfords, 10 per side if needed.
