Selling my recently re built and prepared MX5 Mk1 1.6 road legal track car.
It is in a very solid condition with a full MOT and no advisories and no corrosion.
The car was prepared for both road use and track use.
It was prepared completely by Carl at CBS Autos for me to track but a lower back problem prevents me from driving it any distance.
I was hoping to drive this at track days towards the end of last summer and this year but the car needs to go and I will start another MX5 project.
This car was prepared in 2018 by CBS Autos. I asked Carl to find me a very solid base MX5 Mk1 and they found me this one and they completed the work over a number of months in the summer of 2018. This is a great car underneath with great sills and both rear arches are spot on.
It is a silver 1.6 Mk1 with no power steering and manual wind up windows.
It has still not been used on a track yet and drives brilliantly.

Passed its MOT at CBS autos with no advisories.
4 Brand new Yokohama Ad08 tyres fitted…only been used for 50 miles on the road.
Big brake callipers from a Mk1 1.8 fitted all round.
New Mk1 1.8 brake discs fitted all round.
New EBC Yellowstuff pads fitted.
Brand new 1.8 Clutch fitted with refurbed genuine Mazda 1.8 flywheel
New Clutch pressure plate and bearings fitted…all by CBS.
Custom made exhaust fabricated and fitted by Carl at CBS.
New Sparco Sprint seats fitted
Two new Sparco 4 point harnesses fitted.
New Extinguisher fitted.
New TR Lane Roll Bar Fitted.
Brand new Panasonic Gel battery fitted
Engine serviced with new plugs, oil, cam cover and seal gaskets and K&N filter fitted.
Gearbox and rear axle serviced with Redline oils.
All suspension checked and adjusted where necessary.
All door seals, header rail and boot seal and rear light seals replaced.
Recent radiator fitted with kenlowe fan.
Suspension is KYB Adjustable fitted by CBS.
Car is dinitrolled underneath.
Hardtop is fitted and the original carpet and soft top have been removed from car.
It drives fabulously and stops superbly with the big brakes.
It has a very nice Sony stereo with brand new door speakers fitted.
