Upgrading reversing light to an LED bulb NC 3.75

Has anyone replaced the standard bulb with an LED replacement? Does it make a difference and has it been trouble free? Can you recommend a bulb as there are so many options it differcult to know where to start. Question has been previously discussed however they are quite old threads.

My new precious is a 25th Anniversary - part 2

I’ve been playing with different reversing lamp bulbs because the incandescent one the car came with was pants. I had a couple left over from Niseko experiments (two in each pack but only one used), and the best one of those went in a month ago. A few days ago it failed while I was playing with reversing camera markers. I think it overheated from being on for too long, and shut down permanently. But its brother in the Niseko lasted a couple of years. So I bought another pair of LEDs, sligh…

I replaced mine in my NC3 about 18 months ago and have had no problems. It’s much better than the original. I bought some Auxito bulbs from eBay they were about £12 for two.
