Hi all,
I‘m concerned to find that the tyres on the front on my wife’s car are clearly aged and cracked so they require changing ASAP in the name of safey.
She has only owned the car for a little while but the previous owner had fitted brand new Michelin Pilot Sport 3‘s… 205/50/16’s on the rear.
I appreciate it would be a good idea to match the brands/type of tyre on the front and rear on these cars… I just wanted to tune in with you to get your opinions?
The car is not used for any fast road driving… it’s just used for her to commute to work in so super grippy options aren’t relevant. We just need a good quality long lasting option… is the Michelin on the rears currently the right way to go for th to fronts?
Thanks in advance.
Mike.
I would have thought that would be the best option in the circumstances.
Matched quality tyres all round - doesn’t get much better than that.
On my second set of those tyres on my car. Great tyre especially in the rain, so from a safety aspect very good. I know you didnt especially want “grippy”, but Im sure you will like these.
Michelin Pilot Sport 3 is a great eveyday tyre. You’d be hard pushed to find anything safer, especially in the wet. I know most people don’t plan to drive a 5 in the rain. But come july and the thunderstorms on sunny days you’ll be glad you have a great performing tyre for rain.
I had them on my NC. A huge improvement on the Bridgestones that were previously on.
I’ve got the Michelin pilot sport 3’s on my NB all round and find them excellent.
Thanks for taking the time to reply guys… I’ll get them ordered!
Mike.
