Vauxhall Corsa D Recaro's in an NC

I’ve been looking for OEM style bucket seats to place into the NC as I track the car now and again, but would also like to keep it comfortable for the roads. The standard seats are awful, but it seems that it’s either stock seats or full-on bucket seats, with nothing in between. If I’m mistaken, please let me know of options…

I came across these:

They’re Recaro seats from a Vauxhall Corsa D. Reason being is that Recaro’s from a Corsa are relatively cheap for what they are (around £500). They look great, they have the functionality of the stock seats, and I’d be able to use a harness too.

The main thing is; would they fit. I know this is a “how long is a piece of string” question, but I’m wondering… if these ‘physically’ fit into the space, would there be a way of getting them to work? I know you can buy sliders for bucket seats that fit the NC, so I’m wondering if it’s just a case of fixing those to the seats?

If they did fit, I was always under the assumption that fitting harnesses to a reclinable/folding seat is not a good idea?

Thank you AST, that’s some great information. I wonder if the Corsa D seats share the same ‘standard recaro’ bolt pattern as the VXR seats. The seats look similar, but not the same.

If they do, I can go ahead and look for recaro sliders/mounts for the MX-5.

I did think of how hard it would be to fit the standard MX-5 sliders to the new seats, but that may take some doing.

Note, those MX5 mounts are not sliders. Its going to be a £500 bodge.
