I’m looking for technical help or recommendations on: __the Mazda app
Haven’t logged into the Mazda app for a while. Just logged in and it says the following…
“You are not registered as an owner in our Mazda Database. Please visit a Mazda partner to verify your ownership in order to access service history”
Have t had this in the app previously and I’ve been the owner for about a year and a half and have had a service with Mazda who updated the service data on the app.
Any idea why this has happened? Might pop to local dealer tomorrow and have a chat
At my last service, the dealer service counter said the Mazda service record had been updated so that Mazda would audit items before recording , rather than direct upload by dealers (implied due to potentially incorrect / false records being uploaded). Possibly you dropped off in the change?
Just popped to my local Mazda dealer in Bookham and the chap there was really helpful and got my details attached to the car again.
He wasn’t sure why they were detached, but my car didn’t have an owner linked to it in their database.
Very odd, but all good now. As soon as he entered my details, the app allowed me to access the service details again.
Any excuse to have a drive with the top down
I recently bought a new to my MX-5 but the app won’t let me see the history for the same reason you couldn’t
I will be driving by my local dealer on Saturday but in a different car so I am wondering what I will need to take with me for them to update the system
I took all my documentation, but as the car was know to the dealer (I’d previously taken it there for a service) I didn’t need it.
I’d definitely take some though. Hope they sort it for you.
I will take the whole file then (V5, purchase invoice, etc.)
They know me and my other car, that I will be in as it is serviced by them, and I was in there earlier in the year looking at buying so I think I should be sorted

@ ian.prossor i hope you got this sorted . i had the same problem. i went to my local dealer who was unhelpful . i then contacted MazdaUK via their website and got an email back the same day to say they would sort it …and the app was working later that day. i think i just quoted the VIN
Haven’t got this sorted, my local dealer tried and couldn’t but said they should be able to when it is in for service with them later this year
I have a print out from the previous owner so not too worried at the moment
I went to the dealer with my logbook a couple of weeks ago. They said there was problems with the app and only Mazda Uk can do it. Months ago I registered with the app and was able to access my details. Some restrictions appear to have been put in place in the meantime. As mentioned above send headquarters a copy of page 1&2 of V5 to CS Mazda UK.
Bought my car in March and couldn’t access the app. I went main dealer for my first service and they were able to do the necessary updating so that I could then access the app.
The autoresponder I got from Mazda had a specific bit about the app so it seems far too common:

Please note only the owners of the vehicles are authorised to view this data.
My Dealer did mention that they should be able to change it when it is in for service but I was impatient!
