Voodoo Gear Knob on Mk3

Morning…

Quick question for those using a Voodoo Gear Knob on their NC.

If I replace the stock one, with one of these will their be a space between the gaiter and the bottom of the knob?

Hopefully there isn’t as and it’s a straight swap over.

Thanks in advance of your answers.

Staright swap no gap.  Well it is on mine.  Looks good and actually makes changing gear a pleasure.  cold on a frosty morinng mind.

No gap on mine either, however it was already fitted to the car when I bought it.

Thanks, hoped that would be the case…

Order placed!

As already stated, no issues with gap for the Voodoo knob. The only problem I had was that I bought the brushed finish one and after a few weeks it’s all scratched. I wear a wedding ring and I’m not taking it off just to drive my car so I think I’m going to have to get some fine grit sandpaper or wet & dry and try to polish it up so it’s all a uniform finish. Real shame as I liked the brushed finish it initially had. I noticed they had a matt black version too but I’m worried that’ll have the same issues but look much worse.

Hi, I did go with the brushed finish as I thought this would look the best.

However, like you I am a little disappointed as to how it has held up with being used by someone wearing a wedding ring.

Mine is marked quite heavily and within only 500 miles of use.

It wasn’t expensive, so I guess you get what you pay for.  But I wouldn’t recommend one to anyone unless they understand what may happen.

I’m likely to replace it at some point and probably go back to the original Mazda one.
