VR Ltd Excellent Green Mica

Just bought, not bad shape, wanted a dark green MK1, this Edition came with Bilstein suspension which is now 22 years old. The car has a harsh(ish) ride over road bumps, doesn’t bother me too much but wonder if it would benefit from changing. The car is never going to be tracked just looking for a comfortable UK road set up, any suggestions welcome.

I went for Meisters and didn’t regret it

I’d be confident in saying that any replacement you get would feel tighter after that much time on the originals, so you shouldn’t expect to have anything like the current ride after replacement.

With that said, there are lots and lots of threads both here and on miata.net about changing out the dampers.

Car looks great, ive just bought a vr ltd and had already considered a similar wheel style (japan racing) Would you mind sharing the specs of yours please? Regards

If budget alloys get some meisters on their softest setting they’re way better than originals .I think yours are bilstein. That are known to be quite firm. Nice car

They’re Rota RBs, if I remember correctly 15x8 with 195 50 15 tyres

Thanks
