It’s replacing our old Suzuki jeep, (which is the dogs car) and will also be my commuter car during the worst of the winter when I don’t really want to use the RF - salt etc.
I’ve read some good reviews but never driven one any distance. I guess it’ll be much like the SEAT Arosa we had in the early 2000’s but a bit more fun.
I was surprised that the dealer was prepared to haggle as much as he was, (car was specced with every available option and ordered for someone else who pulled out, distance selling regs or something and it’s sitting in the showroom) and I’m sure it won’t be too long before cars like this just aren’t sold in Europe anymore.
I’m sure there’s more behind this ‘semi conductor/ chip shortage is limiting production’ spiel that most manufacturers are touting right now.
Look what Suzuki have done with the range of cars they sell in Europe, slashed it so their total emissions value falls to meet standards and got into bed with Toyota. I’m sure others will follow and cut models and trim levels.
The car market is certainly a mess right now.
