As Roger has said in a previous post, time is running out to purchase “Early Bird” Tickets for this event.
We have heard from our contact at Middle Wallop that this event is on again in 2024, due to the great success of this event when we attended in 2023. and we will have a dedicated parking area
We posted the event in our Solent Area 2024 Programme a little while back but have now posted it in the MX5OC Calendar with full details on how to purchase your tickets. so head over to the calendar to get your tickets at an advantageous price
By way of an update and to provide further amplifiction; I have had confirmation from Sarah at Wallop Wings & Wheels that the “Early Bird Offer” is not for Exhibitors but for the General Public.
As exhibitors we get in for £10.00 per car, including passenger
So, if you want to display your MX-5 as per last year head over to the MX5OC Calendar as we have posted a link there for you.
It will be good to have a few more Solent Area Members at this event and after speaking to Sarah at Middle Wallop, this morning, the “earlybird discount” is still available, so members can still book to come along and join in the funn on the day
Yes, thats understandavle with Middle Wallop being a live Airfield. Sorry you Jo and Bently will not be able to join us but hope to catch upp with you soon.
HI Mal, I’ve just rejoined the MX5OC after a few years absence and I’m hoping that I can join you guys at Wallop Wings and Wheels next month? I’m running a NB which I’ve owned for 14 years and I had a Rocketeer Turnkey conversion two years ago. My car isn’t/won’t ever be concours standard as I enjoy driving her too much but the engine conversion alone will draw attention…
Regards Alan
Good to hear from you and I am pleased you have re-joined the MX5OC
Your MX-5 sounds interesting and I look forward to seeing you and your 5 at Wheels & Wings👍
For info, it looks like you have probably found our forum page and programme already but if you need any info and web links to the right places, just give me a shout😉
Wallop Wheels & Wings is fast approaching, so here are the details for getting onto the site in readiness for the day to begin
Given the arrival time on the Car Passes states: 07:30 to 08:00 we need to ensure we arrive between these times
I am picking up Terry just before 7:00am, in Chandlers Ford on route, so aiming to swing by Sutton Scotney Services; A34, Sutton Scotney, Winchester SO21 3JY to pick up those who wish to rendevous there at approx 07:20. We will not stop for coffee but head directly in convoy to Middle Wallop and the Exhibitors Entrance, which is: SO20 8DY.
Its a 20 minute drive from Sutton Scotney to Middle Wallop via Stockbridge, so we will hopefully miss any major traffic
Apologies for the late notice of this but having spoken to the organisers again, the actually times stated on the Car Passes are the one’s we should abide to and as such, we need to be at Middle Wallop between 07:30 and 08:00!!!
It is reaised this is very early and may cause issues for some people but these timings are to ensure that Car Clubs Stands are populated in these timescales, to ensure fa flow of cars and save any bottle-necks at the entry point.
I did specifically ask about those travelling from a distance, such as Oxford and Surrey and they have said quite emphatically that there is no wriggle room on these times and they need to be strictly adhered to, so that the parking arrangements run smoothly.
I am really sorry for this late notice of the time change but I do not have an attendees list in order that I could have personally emailed/messaged everybody to advise them.
The organisers say that any cars arriving outside this time window will have to park in the main public parking area
