I’m looking to buy a 2.0 litre ND MX5, preferably a Recaro edition or a newer 184 bhp model. But would consider others.

I’m in the Midlands and would travel an hour or so for the right car.

No fixed budget as such - all depends on model, spec, colour and condition. I have my eye on a couple of Recaros at £14k - £15k and a couple of 184 models at £18k - £19k.

There’s a 66reg for £13k near Cardiff in the for sale section.

Thanks Rich, will take a look although a bit far away from me.

If you can stretch to a 184ps version its worth it. Revs a lot more freely, more power and latest gearbox.
A Recaro or any ND that age could have gearbox problems, so check carefully.
