Any suggestions welcome - be it bag, case or some kind of covering that will keep out the rain.
Many thanks,
Steve

You can get an aluminium MX5 case. There`s one on Ebay as we speak. I used one for a few years with a boot rack & they work well.
Nowadays i ditched the rack & just use a boot bag. (also available on Ebay) Great bit of kit that you can store behind a seat so it`s always with you if needed.
Thanks Dave.
Cannot see the MX5 case on ebay but a great thought; assume you found it fully waterproof?
Welcome any other thoughts - might also consider motorcycle bags as by definition they need to be pretty resilient.
Cheers
Steve
I have a bootbag and would recommend them.
Used it for over a week in Scotland when the weather was really wet and the bag didnt leak.
I bought a roof rack bag. It’s large but I fold the ends under the case and strap it to rack. Works a treat.
Thanks Dipstick.
What is the make / type of bag?
I’d been looking at:
Aim is best option for an MX5 boot rack.

We purchased this from Amazon:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00U1G0HDI?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o08_s00
(It’s the raincover option on the page)
It’s meant as a rucksack cover but it’s elasticated all round and fits over a good sized bag on my boot rack, we used it on a trip to France in June and despite a heavy downpour on the way to the ferry port it kept everything dry.

This is what I bought:

Hi Mutley
My boot rack is normal width but narrow to allow my PRHT to work when the rack is fitted. I use a motorcycle bag on it. We have used it in heavy rain and the contents stayed dry.
Here is a link for it: -

Richard.
Hi,
Do you happen to still have the details of the boot bag and mat as its just the sort of thing I’m looking for.
Thanks
Ned

Have a search on Ebay too as they often sell them cheaper on there.
Just a quick note to thank everyone for their thoughts.
In the end I went for the option recommended by Dipstick - cheers.
