Last week we went to the Porsche Club GB xmas event at Farnborough in Hants, I have to say it was a bit small and disappointing; we had to pay an entrance fee; no vegan food and we didn’t even speak to anyone :unamused_face: . We actually went in my MX-5 as the 916 was playing up!
But……..I used to live in the area so decided to stop at the Duke of Wellington statue for lunch. What should follow us into the car park but a nice white NC driven by a chap in a club bobble hat! alongside his dog in the passenger seat, top down - good man! We had a nice little chat about MX5s and it really made my day.

The MX-5 car club is very good isn’t it - great free events, magazine, friendly people and fab cars :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:
who needs a snooty porsche anyway - my old NC is sooooo much better than husbands car!

I have a slightly different take, I’m of the view it doesn’t matter what you like, NA, NB, NC, ND, Porsche, BMW, Audi, McLaren, Lamborghini, we’re only here for a very short time so it’s whatever floats your boat. At the end of the day it’s about enjoying life and having a bit of fun.
