West Kent Pub Meet 23rd May 2010  

Hi Folks
This month as normal meet for lunch at Brookers Oast, Paddock Wood, Nr the Hop Farm, Belting, Tonbridge, Kent, TN12 6PY  from 12.30pm onwards
followed by

Cream Tea at Teapot Island
 

Following the Bookers Oast meet on Sunday 23rd May, we’re planning a drive around the local countryside, finishing at “Teapot  Island” on The Medway at Yalding. There, you can enjoy a delicious cream tea (home made scones) for £4.95 or anything else from the cafe or ice cream counter. There is a large garden to sit out in and watch the boats go by, and walks along the river to burn off the calories afterwards!<o:p xmlns:o=“http://unknownprefix/o”></o:p>

Attached to the cafe is an exhibition of over 5,000 teapots of every design imaginable which costs £2.50 or £1.50 for OAP’s to enter. If 12 or more people have a cream tea, those that do will get free entrance to the exhibition. (www.teapotisland.com)<o:p xmlns:o=“http://unknownprefix/o”></o:p>

There is a large public car park on the field by the cafe and we should warn you that it costs £2.50 to park. You can park on the road further on and we will indicate where on the driving instructions on the day.

For those that have confirmed around 30 peoople so far  for the Cream teas, Please if  anyone else  would like a cream tea please can they call me as soon as possible so that we can let them know.

 Thanks Jane and George for organising the Teapot Island afternoon tea, had a really lovely time and enjoyed looking at the 5000 plus teapots.

Thanks to Robert and Janet for the new route loved it, glad I am not the only ones that get lost.

Weather brilliant and company excellent thanks to all those that came along around 27 members I think .

Wishing good luck to Wendy for the operation on the 4th June hope all goes well {#emotions_dlg.bigsmile} Will catch up when back from Ireland

Indeed they are !!  It would’nt be a OC meet if we didnt get lost !! … we didnt get lost anyway, we was just enjoying driving so much that we decided to go the long way round Rolling eyes

Great day had by all i think, hope Lisa managed to find her Mustang !!
