West London Area - Convoy to Spring Rally - Sunday 29 April

Hi Helen, sorry to hear the sad news and condolences from Sirpa and myself. If Colin leads I am more than happy to be the tail-end sweeper.

Hi Helen
So sorry to hear your sad news.
Kevin and I send our condolences and best wishes.

Hi Helen,

Linda and I are very sorry to hear your sad news.  Please accept our condolences and best wishes.

Thanks Adam. There are lots of good driving routes to Goodwood, but I’m going to stick with Helen’s original route. It’s cross country, minimal use of the A3 and it’s a very scenic drive.

See you next Sunday.

Colin

Sounds good! Looking forward to it. Fingers crossed on the weather - looking good so far (touch wood!)

Hello Helen

Sorry to hear the circumstances under which you are unable to attend. My sincere condolences.

I can certainly help out with the convoy, having led numerous times down to Goodworth in the past.

See you another time, Helen.

See the rest of you on Sunday.

Bob

Thanks, Bob.  It’s good to have a few people in the convoy who know the route who could lead a group if it gets split up.

Just a reminder to everyone.  Please remember your hanger-pass, which you received in STHT and KEEP IT IN THE CAR WITH YOU.  You do not want to be that person who has it in the boot and then holds up the queue whilst they get out to retrieve it!

I hope the weather is kind and I look forward to seeing all the photos.

So sorry to hear the sad news , Helen . Our thoughts are with you and we hope to see you soon .

A big thank you to Colin and Mac5 for escorting the West London convoy to Goodwood yesterday . A lovely drive across country but we still can’t understand how Mac , as " tail end charlie " , managed to get there before us !

Thanks also to the Solent group for organizing the event . Cold , but top down all day!

Steve and Den

He didn’t take the pretty and scenic route (left turn) through the village!

The normal way is follow the main road going right and then take the first left outside the village and go up the hill.

And I confess to chickening out and keeping the top up - partly to keep my passenger happy.

We still enjoyed the drive down and the event, just a shame about the weather.

1st event with the OC - Big thanks to Colin (& co-driver ‘Whiz’) for leading us down to Goodwood. The drive down was the highlight of the day & it took at least an hour to wipe the grin off my face on arrival.

Top down all day but we left before the parade lap just to heat up in the car - I couldn’t believe how cold it was!

A great day and thanks to all the organisers & especially the marshalls
