Is anyone up for karting?

Russell is organising a karting evening at Sandown Park at Esher in their Daytona Cup Open race on the evening of Wednesday 18th August.

The evening starts at 6:30pm and you get a 5 minute practice run before a 30 minute endurance race.  They supply helmets, suits and gloves so all you need to do is pay up and arrive on the day!

The cost for the event is £42. and all 30 places are currently available.  We are suggesting that people book their own places online at www.daytona.co.uk or on the phone 0845 6445502, but we will check first to see if we can get a discount for a group booking.

So, a show of hands who is interested; I’ll set the ball rolling…

For info, we’ve checked but there’s no discount for block bookings {#emotions_dlg.sad}.

Anna and I have booked our places on this event. You can book online, but I spoke to the chap at Sandown. Apparently they are twin engined Karts that we will use!

Well done Peter!  I’m going on holiday for a few days but when I get back I must book our places too.

I have put this in my diary for nearer the time - I may be on holiday (dates for which are not firmed up yet!).

Track is pretty quiet when you look at booking numbers - shame they won’t do a deal!

I’ve been a bit slack and haven’t arranged the Bracknell meet yet {#emotions_dlg.embarassed}, but probably early July.  I’ll try and firm up a date over the weekend.  By the way, you didn’t leave a jacket there last time did you?  If so, I still have it in my car.

Bump for this event.  However, I’ve just checked the booking website and the 18th isn’t listed - I would suggest you phone directly if you are interested in joining this event.

I now realise my earlier post somehow got severely truncated??

I have lost a steel blue bomber style jacket with a rather gay yellow/green trim- does jacket match this decription?

I’ve just phoned Sandown and they have told me that the event is now full.  Sorry to those who wanted to come along but have missed out.
