We meet at The Winning Post and our next meet is on Monday 3rd October 2011. The Winning Post is located on the east-bound A316 Chertsey Road heading towards Richmond between Whitton and Twickenham (the dual carriage way section) near to the stadium. It’s a pub with an attached motel (Premier Inn) that has a large car park. If you’re heading into London on the M3 then continue as it becomes the A316, and after the flyover section you will eventually come to a roundabout with traffic lights - carry on over this on the A316 and the pub is on the left set back a little from the road. From others’ experience, don’t rely on your satnav to take you to the right place! The full address is as follows:

People arrive any time from 7.30pm. Some people have a meal and make use of the ‘2 for £10’ offer, while others just come along for a drink. You can always give me a call/PM for a chat a few days before you turn up and I’ll look out for you on the night. We’ve usually sit to the left of the bar from the main entrance, however, the lasts couple of months we actually sat outside, so if the weather is good look for us out there first (to the far right hand side of the main entrance).

Just had word that The Winning Post is currently undergoing refurbishment so we can’t meet there this month.

OK, I’ve been scouring the map looking for a suitable pub with a car park, and I’ve come up with The Wheatsheaf on the Green at Esher, near to the racecourse - a short hop from the A3 so hopefully still accessible for most. I’ve never been so fingers crossed it will be ok.
