Many thanks to Sandra and Kevin for organising and leading this trip. The weather was superb, bright and sunny and yet not too hot.
Here we are meeting up at Ockham
and then parked up in the welcome shade at the Rural Life Centre
waiting (not for long) for the lunch, ordered earlier on arrival before our first wander around
There are a lot of memories scattered around the place, some of which I’d not thought about for six decades including this picture in the old cricket pavilion, my Dad knew some of the MCC team visiting Africa in the mid 1950s, and I was introduced to my hero Jim Laker
and of course most of us enjoyed a ride on the little train.
Just wanted to add my thanks to Sandra and Kevin for a great day out. Well done on your first event
