There is indeed but you know when you’re sitting in the driving seat, the fob is in the pocket of your jeans and your missus decides she wants to put something in/take something out of the boot. I’ve got to stop the engine, get out of the car and fish around for the fob, the wee button on my NC was a bit easier to use.
You need to show her where the external boot release is. I had to point to the position on my ND, my wife can find it now, surely as long as the key is in range it’ll work engine on or off?
Does that not apply to all variants certainly seems to apply to my NBFL ![]()
My left knee hits the handbrake, my elbow hits the door and the clutch seems to have a very long throw… Feels like it was all designed for someone with a long left leg and a short body with narrow shoulders. I imagine it’s like the cockpit on a Spitfire. ![]()

Yep - the heater is so good, if it’s dry outside I’ll drive top down, even at night. Sometimes the heater is too hot.
Get a clutch stopper. I got one for my ND and it was pretty transformative.
I have looked at this but the eBay link shows 0 stock. Where did you get yours please?
It was from eBay but out of stock. Branded as ‘CleaR Motorsport’. Definitely look into it. Super easy to install and three positions to choose from. I think I ended up with the middle position which has the clutch and throttle pedals matched for travel which I like.
Thanks. Managed to order one here: CleaR Motorsport Clutch Stopper — Car Cottage
Rather concerned about the concept of a car cottage, hope my wife doesn’t get the wrong idea!![]()
Having the speed limit cruise/ speed limit on the RHS binnacle and the cruise speed/ limit on the LHS binnacle. Annoys me every time
Did you just spray this on the rubber sills?
Wind down the window and spray all along the felt inside the window rubber strips, I did mine a couple times.
The doors on an NC are quite big and heavy, and the door stays don’t have enough positions that catch the door in its opening arc. The first leaves the opening too small to get out of and the next lets the door swing a lot wider open which often risks clouting the neighbouring car in the car park.
The trick is of course, always find a pkg spot at the end of a row…
Or park at the far end of a deserted car park, and get back one hour later to find someone had the same idea, ignoring all other spaces to park alongside you!
So true.
2.0L high power RF at £195.00 for the years not bad,… better than my RX8 at £780.00 a year even the 1.8 gti turbo polo comes out at £472…..![]()

The Plastic bumpers are flimsy enough but trying to fit a grill yesterday I find that the top moustache part of the grill is made from plastic less thick than a 5litre water bottle.
The only way rawlplugs will stay in is with superglue otherwise they pull back out before the screws are even half tight.
Afraid to get it wet due to rust anxiety! ![]()
The seat belts that just do not want to retract.
