What have South East members done to their MX5 Today

I know there is a main thread on this but thought it would be fun to see what fellow SE members have done to their cars. Big Smile So post up your mods etc for all to see.

This week I am polishing the inlet manifold on the black MKII by hand, getting the rough casting off so that hopfully it will match the cam cover. Pics to follow.

 a good clean and polish this am, then took it for a lovely long drive, stopped at a country cafe for coffee, with mx parked opposite ( so i could studdy my handi-work,), then the long way home again…

sorry, i got carried away, im an interloper to this thread from north herts, Embarassed

This evening went to replace rear brakes and discs but couldn’t wind the nearside caliper piston in.

Pulled the caliper apart and found a very rusty piston, so have ordered a new piston and seal kit from Autolink.

MoT is due in a couple of weeks

Been to work as well today, but come the weekend, I’m doing the cambelt and a service on my Sport…Thumbs up

ave replaced the front passenger side brake hose as the brakes were constantly on slightly , found out the other day on my first drive in the car since I got it on sept. not had a chance to test drive it again but hopefully seems ok .

 Booked mine in with Garath The MX5 Restorer for a few “subtle” tweaks !!! Pics to follow Thumbs up

Just a little tip, make sure that the front calipers haven’t started to seize, it’s quite a common problem on these cars…

 No mods today but have just been to get a new MOT and can report she passed with no advisoriesCool
